Renewable Energy Business Incubator (REBi)

Renewable Energy Business Incubator (REBi) Limited is a private not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, incorporated in September 2016.

REBi was established in 2011 as part of the Nordic Climate Facility (NCF) funded project “Sustainable Renewable Energy Businesses in Uganda”. The project was implemented by Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Makerere University Kampala (MUK) in close collaboration with The Royal Norwegian Society for Development (Norges Vel), Norway. NCF was financed by Nordic Development Fund (NDF) and administered by Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO).

What We Do

The Incubator works to promote clean energy access in Uganda through our four major focus areas. We provide the following services: Nurturing Renewable Energy Business Start-ups, Provision of Business Development Services, Skills Development and Piloting renewable energy technologies.
